We are thrilled to announce that the KAIROS Project will be actively participating in the upcoming Aeronautical Meteorology Scientific (AeroMetSci) Conference, which will be held from October 21 to 25, 2024, at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
This event, convened under the auspices of the WMO’s Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM), is dedicated to exploring cutting-edge advancements in meteorological science, particularly in the context of aviation. The theme for AeroMetSci 2024 is “Aviation, weather, and climate: scientific research and development for enhanced aeronautical meteorological services in a changing climate.” The conference will feature a dynamic mix of plenary keynote presentations, national and regional case studies, panel discussions, and poster sessions, all aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation in the face of evolving climate challenges.
We are proud to share that all four of our submitted abstracts have been accepted for presentation at this event. Here is a glimpse into what we'll be presenting:
Convection Nowcasting (Oral Presentation)
Airport Visibility (Poster Presentation)
Dust and SO2 Propagation (Poster Presentation)
KAIROS Project Overview (Poster Presentation)
Stay tuned for updates from the conference!
