From May 13–15, the KAIROS project joined the global aviation community at Airspace World 2025 in Lisbon, showcasing how artificial intelligence is enhancing weather intelligence to support more efficient and resilient airspace operations.
Over the course of three days, AI METHODS, as project coordinator and main presenter, led live demonstrations of the KAIROS dashboard at booth H2270, hosted by our project partners DSNA (Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile). Visitors had the opportunity to explore how AI-driven weather forecasting can support decision-making and operational planning in complex airspace environments. Discussions on KAIROS also took place alongside our colleagues from Unisphere, and MetSafe.
On Thursday, May 15, Aniel Jardines—KAIROS Project Coordinator and CEO of AI METHODS—delivered a presentation in the SANS/NERA Theatre titled "AI.enhanced Weather Forecasts for Hazards affecting Aviation." The session highlighted the project’s latest developments and outlined a forward-looking vision for integrating weather intelligence into the future of European air traffic management.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the booth, engaged in discussion, and helped shape the conversation around the role of AI in aviation.
The KAIROS project is funded by the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme.
