The KAIROS project had a strong presence at the third edition of the FLY AI Forum, held on April 22–23, 2025, at the EUROCONTROL Headquarters in Brussels.

During Session 1: “Machine Learning in Aviation: Where Are We?”, Aniel Jardines, project coordinator from AI Methods, delivered an inspiring presentation titled “KAIROS: AI-based MET Information for Aviation.” The talk explored how cutting-edge AI techniques are being harnessed in the KAIROS project to transform meteorological data, making it smarter, more adaptive, and more aligned with the real-time demands of aviation.

The response from the aviation community was very positive, drawing significant attention to KAIROS’ innovative approach and opening new doors for collaboration and future exploitation of its solutions. From air traffic management to airport operations, stakeholders were eager to learn how KAIROS can help reshape aviation’s use of MET data for enhanced safety and efficiency.

KAIROS also proudly participated at the SESAR Joint Undertaking stand, where Aniel Jardines was joined by Damiano Brunori, Machine Learning Research Scientist at AI Methods. Together, they engaged with a wide array of experts, researchers, and decision-makers, highlighting KAIROS' research excellence and real-world impact.

We’re energized by the interest and opportunities sparked at FLY AI Forum and look forward to building on this momentum to further advance AI in aviation.
