This week marked a significant milestone for the KAIROS project, as the 1st biannual meeting of the project took place in the magic city of Istanbul.
On February 27, the KAIROS team convened at IGA Istanbul Airport in a hybrid meeting. With 21 presentations and over 8 hours of productive discussions on the project, we not only reviewed research progress, but also strengthened our connections beyond the confines of our screens. These bonds are sure to enhance teamwork and raise the quality of our research.
On February 28, attendees had the opportunity to witness current methods in weather forecasting and airside operations at the IGA control tower, and gain valuable insights during a visit to the Airport Operations Control Centre.
